Online payments are processed by PayPal®, and may be made using a major credit card†, eCheck, or PayPal® account.
Auto-payments are processed using the PayPal® Subscription mechanism, which views subscriptions as starting on the date the transaction is initiated. This may or may not correspond to your starting date of service, and the "trial period" of the PayPal® Subscription will be set up to reflect the actual starting date.
† A PayPal® account is not necessary if paying by major credit card.
